“Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.” -Dwayne Johnson

There are some weird things starting to happen since I have taken up writing every day.

I’ve become more curious and started researching topics that I would have never thought of looking at. I find myself more assertive, speaking up more in meetings, and having more ideas just “pop” into my head. I post more on professional sites like LinkedIn, knowing I have a portfolio of proven work behind me.

Bottom line, I have become more confident.

“As you are consistent, one’s confidence grows.” -David Hieatt

As I write and publish every day, I get a good data set that I can measure. I can see what is resonating and what is not. Writing more of what works gives me confidence that I can produce results more often.

Both Twitter and Medium work as great sounding boards, letting me put my ideas into the world and see what sticks.

Being consistent helps me establish a reputation and keeps me accountable. When an audience knows that they can count on you to show up consistently, they grow and stick around longer. I become more confident in my ability to build an audience.

It gives me a story to tell. There have been multiple occasions where I have had the opportunity to share my journey with people in my masterminds or marketing groups.

Having a story of ups and downs makes you feel more relatable. It lets me be a thought leader, sharing best practices from my trial and error.

Consistency gives me guardrails and expectations each day, and I find myself looking for new obstacles to tackle. It’s creating more and more momentum each day.

When I have a clear vision and am motivated, my confidence skyrockets.
